Wojcieszkow Commune is located in the north - east part of Lublin Province, on the area of 10.886 hectares. The commune has a typic agricultute character, with 78% of the total area as agriculture areas and 13% as forests.

In 1540 Wojcieszków recived the Magdeburg City Rights from the Polish King Zygmunt Stary. However the first local official structure was established in 1437. During the centuries till our present days, Wojcieszków was an agriculture center. The beauty and uniqe of local clean environment gives also a huge chance to become a perfect place for agro-tourism. In our area there is no real disturbing industry, thanks this our rivers are full of different kinds of fishes, there are very rare crayfishes living in our swamps.. The forests are full of wild animals and they are wealthy of many kinds of mashrooms and forestfruits.
In Wojcieszkow there is located a beautyfull catholic church with an old cementary on witch there is a grave of Mrs. Maria z Babskich - wife of Polish Noble Price writer - Henryk Sienkiewicz.
